Dubai, 13 Nov 2007: “Dubai Government will be working with Direct Selling Educational Institute (DSEI) to legislate the direct selling industry in Dubai” announced Mr. Ali Ibrahim, Deputy Director General for Executive Affairs, Department of Economic Development, after a meeting with DSEI’s top management here yesterday.
“A team is already assigned by Dubai Government to work on the legislation of the industry in Dubai”, added Mr. Ibrahim. Meanwhile, DSEI agreed to provide the team with all the support, and will collect reference data and information such as code of conducts and code of ethics from other countries for the team.
With more than 70 exhibition stands been sold out, Direct Selling Festival is enjoying a commendable response from the market. Best of all, DSEI is also excited to announce that Mr. Ibrahim will be inaugurating the exhibition to be held on 17th of May 2008 and will also speak at the conference. DSEI’s meeting with Dubai Government also opens up huge possibility for endorsing the ‘Direct Selling Festival’ - Exhibition & Conference by the Department of Economic Development, and also the issual of Direct Selling License in the near future.
